I have been a theatre educator and director for over 10 years. Some of my favorite directing and choreography credits include Shrek: the musical, Frozen, Fiddler on the Roof, Peter Pan, Seussical, The Lion King, Annie, and The Music Man. I am a resident theatre teaching artist for multiple schools and theatre companies in NYC, such as Unity Stage Company and Inside Broadway. I work with students of all ages and abilities, and I specialize in developing student-written plays and musicals. Since 2011, I have served as the Theatre Director at Camp Barney Medintz where I develop programming and direct productions for over 1,200 kids every summer. As an actor, I most recently appeared Off-Broadway in Truffles! (GBTC Productions) and in the national tour of A Christmas Carol as Jacob Marley. I graduated from The University of Alabama in 2013 where I studied Musical Theatre and English, and I am now a proud resident of Astoria, Queens with my amazing wife, Jessie!
My classes are all about having FUN! I always keep my classroom environment positive no matter what, and I welcome students of all experience levels to participate and join in. While I take great care in the lessons I teach, the productions I direct, and the techniques I share, my priority will always be the encouragement, creativity, and confidence that can be gained from expressing yourself through theatre!
